NBA free agent Jeremy Lin’s next career step remains uncertain the 32-year-old told Chinese fans today in a live stream.

Lin was speaking on Douyin, the Chinese-language version of TikTok, where he dealt with where he will play next season.

“Thank you everyone for supporting us. Don’t worry, as soon as I have any news I will definitely tell you,” he said.

“But now there is no news that I can truly share with you.”

Lin then showed the camera his NBA Championship ring. “Let everyone see it again,” he said of the 640-diamond ring, which is the biggest in NBA history.

He won the ring with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 before leaving the league when he received no offers as a free agent and then moved to the Chinese Basketball Assocation’s Beijing Ducks.

‘You’ll know when I know,’ says Jeremy Lin of NBA future

He spent last season with the Ducks, playing a starring role in taking them to the play-off semi-finals before announcing his dream of an NBA return.

Lin has kept fans up to speed with his efforts to get an NBA team, sharing videos of his workouts and updates on his journey on his social media platforms in English and Chinese.

While he has been linked with moves to a number of NBA teams time is running out before the new season starts on December 23 and preseason games are now under way.

The Ducks are reported to have asked him to return to Beijing and Lin admitted earlier in the month that going back to China is an option as fans wait on an NBA announcement.

“You’ll know when I know,” Lin wrote in a comment to an Instagram follower last Sunday.

That followed up an update on his potential return to Beijing earlier in the month.

“Big decisions coming up soon but that’s an option on the table for sure,” Lin told a fan who asked him not to go back to the CBA on December 1.
