NBA hopeful Jeremy Lin has told Chinese fans that quarantine is “annoying” as he continues to train for his stint in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The 32-year-old went into quarantine last Friday ahead of meeting up with his new team and travelling to the G League bubble in Orlando, Florida.

“Continue to prepare,” Lin wrote on Weibo, along with a video of him working out in his hotel room, where he will spend seven days.

“I have been waiting for a long time, honestly a bit annoying, but these few weeks will pass very quickly, and I will be able to play ball soon.”

The G League will begin in February, with Lin set to play 15 games unless an NBA team comes in to sign him.

While the Santa Cruz team are the affiliates of the Golden State Warriors, Lin is free to sign with any of the 30 teams in the league.

Lin is no stranger to quarantine having had to undergo two weeks in China when he returned last year to play for the Beijing Ducks ahead of the Chinese Basketball Association resuming.

The league was put on pause as China battled the coronavirus pandemic and Lin returned to his native US before being called back in

When the CBA resumed teams were based in a bubble, staying in the same hotel outside training and matches. Lin’s Ducks were based in Qingdao.

This gives Lin another potential advantage in the G League, which is following the model used by the NBA to finish last season playing behind closed doors at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney World.
