NBA veteran Jeremy Lin’s G League season started with a 109-104 loss on Wednesday night.
The 32-year-old’s Santa Cruz Warriors lost to the G League Ignite, a team made up of top 2021 NBA Draft prospects such as Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga.
Lin, who spent last season with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association, is at the other end of his career but still hopeful of being picked up by an NBA team during the G League regular season, which runs through March 6.

He scored 18 points with five assists and three steals in his first G League game in nearly a decade. The games are being played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida.
It was another veteran who top-scored though, the Ignite’s Jarrett Jack. The 37-year-old scored 23 points as he looks to make an NBA comeback of his own.

Kuminga, 18, scored 19 points and sealed the game with a block as the clock ran down. The Congo-born teenager is tipped to be a top 10 pick in this year’s draft.
