Former Linsanity star Jeremy Lin did his hopes of an NBA return the world of good with a game-high 29 points in a 124-116 win for his Santa Cruz Warriors over the Westchester Knicks.
Lin, 32, hit seven three-pointers, meaning that his “3 for Hope” charity initiative also benefited from a night where he showed his best against the G League affiliate of the NBA team where he made his name.
It was at the New York Knicks that Lin became a global star during the “Linsanity” period nine years ago this month and he showed that form in a game where he also served up seven assists.

Along with Golden State Warriors players Nico Mannion, and Jordan Poole, the trio combined for 77 of Santa Cruz’s points.

The Santa Cruz side had lost their first two games in the G League bubble in Florida, most recently to the Delaware Blue Jackets on Friday – a game where Lin scored only seven points and foul trouble limited him to 23 minutes.
