Jeremy Lin’s NBA return in doubt as he sits out G League game with back injury

It was the second G League game the 32-year-old had missed in a week after being a late omission from the Warriors’ Wednesday meeting with the Canton Charge because of “back tightness”.
Lin dismissed that first absence after returning to the team in their next game the following day and helping them to a win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
“For me I just wanted to be smart I know that this is a little more expedited compared to a normal schedule so there’s nothing serious or anything it was just something that I want to be smart with,” he told the postgame media conference after scoring 27 points on Thursday.
“Me and the training staff and the coaches kind of talked about it together and so that’s what we decided on.
“It wasn’t anything we were expecting to be serious or anything like that, it was just a little bit tight, enough where we wanted to be smart.”
