NBA veteran Jeremy Lin said he will not “name or shame” the player he claims called him “coronavirus” on court, as the G League begin an investigation into the alleged incident.
“I know this will disappoint some of you but I’m not naming or shaming anyone,” Lin wrote on Twitter and Instagram on Saturday, ahead of sitting out another G League game for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
“What good does it do in this situation for someone to be torn down? It doesn’t make my community safer or solve any of our long-term problems with racism.”

On Thursday Lin wrote that “Being a 9-year NBA veteran doesn’t protect me from being called ‘coronavirus’ on the court” in a post on social media.
NBA reporter Shams Charania revealed the G League had launched an investigation into the alleged incident, something Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr backed. The league confirmed the investigation to The New York Times.
