Jeremy Lin NBA return: Warriors, Nets fans call for signing – will they get their wish?
- Fans of several NBA teams including Golden State and Brooklyn have called on coaches and owners to re-sign ‘Linsanity’ star
- Free agent Lin is eligible for play-offs if he signs before end of regular season on May 16, with several teams needing to fill roster

There are many people who want Jeremy Lin’s dream of an NBA return to be realised this season with fans of several teams calling on their owners and coaches to sign the veteran free agent.
The 32-year-old nine-year NBA veteran wants a 10th year and has said as much. “It’s waiting and seeing if a team felt like I deserve it or played well enough to be a part of their organisation,” he told the Post last month, of an NBA return.
Lin fans have been vocal in calling for the former Beijing Ducks star to return to the NBA with questions of a comeback dominating mailbags at local newspapers and appeals on social media.
Fans of the Golden State Warriors – whose affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, Lin played for this G League season – have called on coach Steve Kerr and the team owners to re-sign Lin.
He impressed for the Warriors in the G League bubble, averaging 19.8 points and 6.4 assists.
