NBA free agent Jeremy Lin has responded to the news that he is the only G League top scorer to be without a team.
“Just need an opportunity,” Lin wrote in a tweet quoting New York Times basketball reporter Marc Stein from earlier this week.
Stein wrote that Lin is “the only player among the top 11 scorers from the @nbagleague bubble without an NBA contract or having spent at least some time in the league this season”.
Lin also posted two bicep emojis and the hashtag “been ready”.

The 32-year-old, who last played in the NBA in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors, had the seventh highest points per game in the G League this season.
Everyone else among the top 10 points per game scorers has been with an NBA team at some point this season.

Fans have called on their teams to sign the “Linsanity” star but so far no teams have made the move.
NBA champion Lin will be eligible for the play-offs if signed before the end of the regular season next month. 
He played for the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association last season before announcing his intention to have another shot at the NBA.
