NBA star Stephen Curry’s customised Bruce Lee shoes, which he said he would auction off to support the Asian-American community, are now live on Goldin Auctions.
The two-time NBA regular season MVP wore them in the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Atlanta Hawks in April, before telling the media that the shoes would be auctioned off in a move that earned widespread praise, including from former teammate Jeremy Lin.
“This is a significant opportunity to raise some money. We’re gonna auction them off,” Curry said in a media conference after his team’s loss to the Hawks on April 4.

“Obviously stopping Asian hate is huge across the country and across this world but here the shoes are a very small way to hopefully raise money for that work and that cause and, you know, raise awareness,” he added.
The auction site confirmed that 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to the families of the victims in the Atlanta-area spa shootings in March. Eight people, including six women of Asian descent, were killed by a white gunman.
