Golden State Warriors’ point guard Steph Curry became the NBA’s greatest 3-point shooter on Wednesday when he passed Ray Allen’s mark of 2,973 during his side’s game against the New York Knicks.
Curry needed just four minutes into the first quarter to reach 2,974 career 3s, sending fans inside Madison Square Garden into a frenzy.
The 33-year-old’s achievement were celebrated by teammates as they rushed the court to acknowledge the milestone, as did former record holder Ray Allen.
“The man who changed the game. The igniter of the three-point revolution,” the NBA commentary team said.
