NBA’s Brooklyn Nets sign Hongkonger David Muoka ahead of Macau pre-season games
Nets had already signed Zeng Fanbo, and could break new ground for Chinese basketball if Zeng and Muoka were to play together

Hong Kong basketball player David Muoka has signed with NBA team the Brooklyn Nets, raising the possibility of him playing for them in Macau next month.
Muoka inked a partially guaranteed standard NBA contract with the franchise on Monday, US time. He had signed with the Portland Trail Blazers last October, becoming the first Hongkonger to land an NBA deal, before being waived the same day and playing the 2024-25 season for the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls’ G League affiliate.
A partially guaranteed contract allows a team to waive a player without consequence beyond paying a guaranteed amount.
Set to face the Phoenix Suns in two pre-season NBA China Games in Macau on October 10 and 12, the Nets had previously reached an agreement with China’s Zeng Fanbo.

Mainland Chinese media reported that Chinese national team member Zeng was expected to make the trip to the casino city next month.
