Two-time Olympian Brad Hore of Australia has been lined up as Rex Tso Sing-yu's next opponent as the "Wonder Kid" makes his first Hong Kong fight appearance in more than two years in next month's "Night of Champions II".

Tso has not fought in Hong Kong since May 2013 - he has been impressing fans in Macau instead - but will get a chance to show off his boxing skills on August 29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.

Fresh from his 17th straight victory and 10th KO success at the "Victory at the Venetian" last weekend, Tso's latest outing should be an interesting test for the 28-year-old unbeaten southpaw, who is looking for a world title shot.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian super flyweight title will also be on the line in the mandatory 10-round bout between the WBC Asia-ranked number one (Tso) and number two (Hore).

The fight will be the main event on the card, which will also include at least seven professional bouts and will feature boxers from Hong Kong, Australia, the UK, Thailand, the Philippines, and Macau.

Hore, 33, represented Australia at the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics and is the top-rated super flyweight from Down Under.

The southpaw, known as "Pocket Rocket", hails from Caloundra, Queensland and has a modest record of 5-1-0, turning professional three years ago at the age of 31.

Tso said he was excited to be returning to the ring in front of his home fans.

"It's been a long time. I will fight hard for my fans," said Tso, who is 17-0-0 and holds several belts, including the WBA international flyweight title, which is one tier below world title status.

"When I was negotiating my contract with [promoters] Top Rank [he signed in March], I made sure they let me fight in non-Top Rank events in Hong Kong.

"My fans in Hong Kong have always been key to my success."

Tso's coach and manager, Jay Lau Chi-yuen, said Hore should provide tough opposition for Tso, who last weekend scored a fourth-round TKO against experienced Thai fighter, Khunkhiri Wor Wisaruth.
