Manny Pacquiao becomes new favourite for Keith Thurman clash as American resorts to more trash talk
- Unbeaten American claims Filipino icon didn’t do a ‘goddamn thing’ in his controversial 2017 loss to Jeff Horn
- But money is piling in for the eight-time division champion who is now 1.8 favourite for Las Vegas fight

Unbeaten American Keith Thurman has continued his war of words with Manny Pacquiao with less than three weeks to go before their much-anticipated clash in Las Vegas.
Thurman (29-0-0, 22 KOs) is expected to present the Philippines icon with one of his toughest fights to date and the Florida native maintained his trash talking as their WBA super welterweight showdown draws nearer. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand on July 20.
In an interview with Fight Hub TV, an animated Thurman said the eight-times division world champion (61-7-2, 39 KOs) didn’t do a “goddamn thing” in his controversial loss to Australia’s Jeff Horn during their bout in July 2017.
Thurman brought up the subject of one of Pacquiao’s worst career losses and couldn’t help having another dig at his rival.
A lot of Pacquiao fans thought the fighting senator from Sarangani did enough to win the fight in Brisbane, but judges saw it another way and gave victory to the former schoolteacher in a massive upset.
