Floyd Mayweather’s proposed 2020 exhibition bout in China against a local boxer has been “postponed”.

The undefeated American boxer was expected to attend a press conference at Mission Hills Haikou Resort in Hainan on Wednesday, to announce a fight in 2020 against a Chinese boxer, who would be chosen after a recruitment campaign.

“Money” was set to take part in a signing ceremony at 10am local time with Tenniel Chu, vice-chairman of the Mission Hills Group.
