YouTube celebrity Jake Paul had his work cut out for him at the latest press conference promoting his December 18 boxing match with British reality television star Tommy Fury.

The event went down on Wednesday in Morecambe, England. The 24-year-old American Paul joined remotely – from the middle of a sun-dappled swimming pool in Puerto Rico, with a coconut drink in hand.

Awaiting Paul (4-0) on the other end of the line was not only Tommy (7-0), but the Briton’s older half-brother Tyson Fury (30-0-1)– boxing’s heavyweight king and a top pound-for-pound talent – and the pair’s father, John.

Paul, never one to shy away from trash talk, was quick to target the entire Fury camp, questioning Tommy’s preparation for the upcoming bout.

“Look, they are underestimating me to the highest degree,” Paul said. “They can try to teach this kid as much as they want in a short amount of time, but that’s not the way boxing works. Tommy’s green. Tyson’s trying to coach him like a champion, but the kid’s not a champion.”

Paul soon found himself struggling to get a word in as John, the Fury family patriarch, began barking into the microphone.

“You know nothing about boxing, and your team know nothing about boxing,” John said.
