Jake Paul’s boxing career is only getting started, but he has insisted he is already experiencing symptoms of brain injury.

The 24-year-old American rose to fame as a content creator on YouTube, but has spent the last few years dedicating himself to the sport of boxing, tallying four wins in that time.

Unfortunately, Paul is already experiencing some worrying signs of brain injury, thanks to his background in American football.

He opened up on his history of concussions ahead of his anticipated rematch with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, which goes down this Saturday in Tampa, Florida.

“Since I was a kid playing football, I’ve been getting concussions all the time,” Paul told Graham Bensinger.

“Hard hits, helmet to helmet: It’s part of the sport. Boxing is no different – especially when you’re first starting out, sparring really tough people who are on a much higher level than you. You’re going to get concussions.”

All told, Paul estimates he has had roughly 20-30 concussions already – and those injuries are already taking a toll on his memory and speech.
