Hong Kong boxer Ruru Yang Sheau-ru is gunning for a title shot after winning her third consecutive professional fight by knockout.
The 28-year-old flyweight beat super-flyweight Ketsara Jatpukdee in Bangkok on Wednesday, after the 16-year-old Thai boxer retired following the second round.
Yang, who had predicted the bout would end with a knockout, said she knew after the opening round the fight would not go the distance.

“I just needed to figure out which combo, headshot or body shot, was more suitable,” Yang said. “It was clear Jatpukdee was not able to deal with my attacks and her punches on me were just not working.
“As I said, this fight would end up as a knockout and I believed I would be the one standing after the bout, so I have fulfilled my words.”
Yang, who has now won all three fights in Thailand, said she was “satisfied” with her performance in the ring.
