Hong Kong boxer Ruru Yang Sheau-ru vowed to prove she belongs at the top of her sport after having a world title fight confirmed for May 30.
Nine months after defending her WBC Asia super flyweight crown, Yang will take on Tanwarat Saengiamjit of Thailand for the vacant Women’s International Boxing Association (WIBA) super bantamweight belt.
The bout will be the main event of the Champions Arise bill in Bangkok, and Yang said she was keen to make her mark.
