Guangzhou Evergrande's South American flair has captured the headlines in the build-up to the final, but it is the Korean-influenced heart of the Chinese Super League side that most attracts the attention of FC Seoul striker Dejan Damjanovic.

The Montenegrin striker will, along with Colombian playmaker Mauricio Molina and wingers Yun Il-lok and Go Yo-han, pose the greatest threat to Guangzhou's hopes of claiming the continental title, and the forward knows the tough task ahead.

Guangzhou's central defensive pairing consists of South Korean international Kim Young-gwon and China's Feng Xiaoteng, who joined Evergrande in 2011 after two seasons in the K-League. Defensive midfielder Huang Bowen is another member of the Guangzhou side with K-League experience.

"One guy is a Korean guy, playing for the national team and I've seen him playing a few times on the TV. I know his style and everything," said the 32-year-old, who scored twice for his country in internationals against England this year.

"The other guy, he was playing here in Korea for Jeonbuk for two years and I played against him a few times. Honestly, he's a tough guy, not a bad player but nothing special that I need to be afraid of. If my team can play as always I think we can make some chances and cause big problems for their defence."

Damjanovic admits struggling in the early phase of the Champions League. But since the knockout phase he has been in impressive form, scoring goals against his former club Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia and Iran's Esteghlal as FC Seoul reached the final to maintain a remarkable run of success for Korean clubs in the competition.

"It's a really big game," said Damjanovic, who was part of the FC Seoul side eliminated in the quarter-finals of the tournament in 2009 and 2011.
