Filipino star Nonito Donaire Jnr to headline 'Featherweight Fury' in Macau

"Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire Jnr will headline next month's "Featherweight Fury" at Macau's CotaiArena on a night that will feature three featherweight world title fights.
Four-division world champion and 2012 Fighter of the Year Donaire will challenge World Boxing Association (WBA) undisputed featherweight world champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa in the main event on May 31.
Undefeated WBA world featherweight champion Nicolas "The Axe Man" Walters will defend his title against two-division world champion Vic Darchinyan of Armenia.

The card will also see the return of the "Mexican Russian" Evgeny Gradovich, who will be making his third consecutive featherweight title defence at the CotaiArena, against Armenian-Belgian Alex Miskirtchian.
Hong Kong's Rex Tso Sing-yu is also due to make his fourth Macau appearance against a yet to be announced fighter as he aims to stretch his unbeaten super flyweight record to 13-0.
China's two-time Olympic gold medallist Zou Shiming will play no part this time, but compatriot Ik Yang (Yang Lianhui) has been lined up after missing out on February's Ring of Gold because of illness. Donaire (32-2, 20 KOs), like superstar Filipino Manny Pacquiao, is a hero in the Philippines.
"This fight is very important," Donaire told the South China Morning Post. "It will be my fifth weight title shot and I'm getting used to fighting at 126 pounds. Simpiwe Vetyeka will be an extremely tough opponent.
