Superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale put on a scintillating first-half show as Real Madrid cruised past Inter Milan 3-0 in their International Champions Cup soccer match in Guangzhou on Monday night.

Jese, Raphael Varane and James Rodriguez got the goals for the Spanish giants but it was the display of the two star forwards that will live long in the memory of the 39,896 fans who packed Tianhe Stadium.

On another day both Ronaldo and Bale might have claimed a first-half hat-trick, such was their dominant display.

A glut of half-time substitutions interrupted Real Madrid’s flow, but they always remained the more likely to score.

Rodriguez, Colombia’s World Cup star, entered the fray in the 77th minute and completed a terrific cameo with a 35-yard left-foot curling free kick into the left-hand corner for Real’s third goal two minutes from time.

Inter lost all their three matches on a miserable China tour and failed to score a single goal.
