YouTuber Kazooie 94, real name Alex Brands, has uploaded a video appearing to confirm the Chinese Super League will feature in Fifa 19 when the latest instalment of the video game series is released in late September.

Brands is a member of the EA Game Changers network and has had early access to the new game.

Speculation had grown that the league would be introduced for the first time as early as May and it only increased after photographs emerged on social media purporting to be of EA Sports’ staff taking photos of Shanghai SIPG’s Hulk.

The game designers have clearly listened to the gaming public – an online vote on fan website Fifplay.com for which leagues should be added to Fifa 19 had the Chinese Super League at the top with 7 per cent of the vote and over 215,000 votes. The Turkish Super Lig was a close second.

EA have not officially confirmed the move but are expected to do so before the game’s release on September 28.

Speculation on budgets for Chinese clubs in career mode has got gamers excited for shopping sprees on star players while many are welcoming the return of former favourites from the CSL into Fifa Ultimate Team mode.
