YouTuber Kazooie 94, real name Alex Brands, has uploaded a video appearing to confirm the Chinese Super League will feature in Fifa 19 when the latest instalment of the video game series is released in late September.

Brands is a member of the EA Game Changers network and has had early access to the new game.

Speculation had grown that the league would be introduced for the first time as early as May and it only increased after photographs emerged on social media purporting to be of EA Sports’ staff taking photos of Shanghai SIPG’s Hulk.

The game designers have clearly listened to the gaming public – an online vote on fan website Fifplay.com for which leagues should be added to Fifa 19 had the Chinese Super League at the top with 7 per cent of the vote and over 215,000 votes. The Turkish Super Lig was a close second.

EA have not officially confirmed the move but are expected to do so before the game’s release on September 28.

Speculation on budgets for Chinese clubs in career mode has got gamers excited for shopping sprees on star players while many are welcoming the return of former favourites from the CSL into Fifa Ultimate Team mode.

From Kazooie 94’s video, Shanghai SIPG’s Wu Lei will be the highest-rated Chinese player with a rating of 75, his clubmate Cai Huikang gets a rating of 70.

Unsurprisingly, Guangzhou Evergrande have the strongest contingent of domestic players.

Zheng Zhi, Feng Xiaoting, Gao Lin, Huang Bowen, Li Xuepeng and Yu Hanchao all have ratings of above 70.

Elsewhere, Hao Junmin and Dai Lin of Hebei China Fortune are both ranked above 70, as is Jiang Zhipeng of Hebei, Sun Ke of Tianjin Quanjian and Cao Yunding of Shanghai Shenhua.

There is no place for Paulinho or Anderson Talisca in the Evergrande squad, which will be rectified, as will the transfer of Axel Witsel from Tianjin Quanjian to Borussia Dortmund and Anthony Modeste if the French striker returns to Europe.

Former Villareal hitman Cedric Bakambu has an 82 rating, the same as Jonathan Viera, and one more than Renato Augusto.

Changhun Yatai’s Odion Ighalo has a rating of 77, while Yannick Carrasco is the highest-rated foreign player with an 83 rating.

Cult hero Bubacar “Steve” Trawally has a rating of 70 while Hong Kong defender Festus Baise has a 62 rating.

Former Barcelona player Javier Mascherano still has an 80 rating while Shanghai SIPG stars Oscar tips in at 82 and Hulk is 81.

If the ratings are not amended from this version of the game then the Brazilian wideman has a rating of 90 for long shots, shot power of 94 and a strength rating of 92.
