Jeremy Lin top scored for the Beijing Ducks as they extended their winning streak to three games with victory over the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association.

Lin put up 26 points in a 94-88 win at Beijing’s Cadillac Arena in Wukesong to make it 75 points across his first three CBA starts.

This was the Sharks’ first loss of the season and leaves the Ducks as one of four unbeaten teams going into game four on Sunday when they host the Qingdao Doublestar Eagles.

In his 35 minutes on the court on Friday Lin also had seven rebounds and four assists. He is on track to match his points total across his first four NBA starts when he scored 109 points with the New York Knicks in the 2012 “Linsanity” period.

The 31-year-old had told reporters before the game that he is still adapting to the CBA after his move from the NBA and that he expects to improve.

The Sharks game was another learning experience. Lin tumbled to the floor six times on Friday night, bringing the total to 25 across the three games as he gets used to the attention of CBA defences.

After the game Lin praised teammate Fang Shuo. The 29-year-old scored 19 points.

Many of the fans in the Cadillac Arena were wearing Lin jerseys, including Beijing Guoan footballer Renato Augusto. Lin thanked the Brazilian for coming to watch.

“I am very grateful that others will take the time to come to see my game,” he said. “It is my pleasure. As I always said, I can be in front of many fans. It feels great to play, which is why I chose to come to CBA, so I am very grateful to him.”

Lin vowed to ‘make history’ in China – here’s how he can

After the game Lin gave away his game-worn shoes to a fan in the crowd.
