CBA: Jeremy Lin’s ‘worst game’ in shock Beijing Ducks loss to Zhejiang Golden Bulls
- Biggest defeat of the season sees Ducks drop to third in the Chinese Basketball Association standings
- NBA champion hits only five of 21 shots from the field before apologising for performance on social media
Jeremy Lin’s Beijing Ducks were shocked by the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in a 112-93 home defeat in the Chinese Basketball Association on Friday night.
NBA champion Lin scored 21 points over 35 minutes on the court at the Wukesong Arena. He also added five rebounds and four assists.
That was not enough to prevent the team’s biggest defeat of the 2019-20 season, his first in the CBA since leaving the Toronto Raptors in the summer.
Neither Lin nor his Ducks teammates hit their usual stride. They were 15 points down to the visitors after the first quarter and were unable to rein in the gap. Some fans inside the stadium called for Lin to be subbed during the first half, according to reports.
Lin fell below his season averages for points, rebounds and assists, and expressed his disappointment with his “worst performance in the CBA” on his Instagram and Sina Weibo accounts after the game. He also thanked the fans for their support.
