The Beijing Ducks beat the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association thanks to stand-out performances from their overseas players Jeremy Lin and Ekpe Udoh in Qingdao on Sunday.

Lin, who had left the arena with an ice pack strapped to his knee after Friday’s 100-87 loss to the Zhejiang Lions, played 34 minutes in the 86-76 win. He finished with 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Teammate Udoh played 37 minutes and top scored for the Ducks with 31. He also had 19 rebounds in a game where the duo were key to victory, extending a one-point lead at the half to 15 at the end of the third quarter.

Lin posted to Weibo after the game, with photos of him doing weights after the win. “Beijing must win! Every time I play against Shanghai, it is always a very difficult game. Love strength training after the game,” he wrote.

The Ducks sit fifth on the standings (22-13) as they chase a top-four berth and a bye to the quarter-finals of the play-offs. Their next game is against the Zhejiang Golden Bulls on Tuesday.
