Jeremy Lin: NBA’s Golden State Warriors ‘exploring all avenues’ to sign free agent – report
- Golden State return was called off after failure to get international clearance to sign for NBA team and be waived to G League
- The 32-year-old could sign for affiliated Santa Cruz Warriors to get a step closer to a return to the big league

“The Warriors remain interested in adding Jeremy Lin to the @GLeagueWarriors should Lin decide to use the G League as the platform for a potential NBA comeback, league sources say,” New York Times reporter Marc Stein wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
The chances of that move appeared to be over after the Warriors were unable to get the letter clearing Lin from the Chinese Basketball Association via international governing body Fiba. Lin played last season with the Beijing Ducks after going without an offer during NBA free agency in the summer.
However, Stein later told Twitter that the deal for the 32-year-old is not dead, as long as he signs for the G League Santa Cruz Warriors.
“Without a FIBA Letter of Clearance, Golden State could not go through with its plan to sign and waive Lin before 11 PM ET last night, but I‘m told the Warriors ‘will explore all avenues’ to acquire Lin’s rights if he chooses the G League route after spending last season in China,” he wrote later on Sunday.
