China’s Eileen Gu Ailing soared to a mammoth score of 84.23 as she obliterated the field in Aspen, Colorado on Saturday to claim her second gold medal at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard and Freeski World Championships.

The great Chinese hope for next year’s Winter Games, who is based in the United States, added the women’s freeski slopestyle title to the ski halfpipe title she claimed on Friday.

The 17-year-old phenom, already a Youth Olympic champion, was making her debut at the Championships being held at Buttermilk Ski Resort and finished more than seven points clear of her closest rival, silver medallist Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland, who scored 77.15.
