Hong Kong Cricket Club Optimists beat Vagabonds by seven wickets, powered by an unbeaten 123 from Hong Kong head coach and former Ireland international Trent Johnston, in their Sunday League Division Two clash at Wong Nai Chung Gap Road. Vagabonds scored 242 for nine from their 50 overs with Ankur Vasishta scoring 60 from 39 balls and Mohammaed Hussain Khan taking three for 45 for Optimists. After losing Mark Farmer for one, fellow opener Craig Johnstone (74) and Conor Hickey (25) built a solid foundation before Johnston came in and blasted 123 from 85 balls with seven sixes and 13 fours. Optimists reached their target in 41.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.
