Hong Kong might have fallen short to India in their 2022 Asia Cup campaign on Wednesday, but the night will be one to remember after Hong Kong cricketer Kinchit Shah stole hearts with a surprise marriage proposal to his girlfriend Sheena Oberoi.

Soon after the match against India, Shah made his way to the stands of the Dubai International Stadium where he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Shah had certainly kept his plans underwraps, with his completely surprised partner repeatedly saying “I can’t believe this”. She did, of course, say yes and images of the happy couple quickly spread across social media.

“You know she was stunned cause she didn’t realise she dropped her phone,” said one user on Twitter. “Congratulations to the happy couple.”
