FairBreak Invitational: Falcons soar into second consecutive final, with Warriors waiting to deny them title

Falcons and Warriors will clash for the first FairBreak Invitational trophy of the year on Sunday, after completing similarly comprehensive wins in the semi-finals.
While Warriors beat Spirit by four wickets having bowled their opponents out for just 73 at Kowloon Cricket Club, Falcons soared to a six-wicket win over the Barmy Army.
For Falcons, it will be their second consecutive final and an early chance to banish the memories of defeat in Dubai at the hands of Tornadoes.
Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Marizanne Kapp gave her side the perfect start, taking the wickets of Lauren Winfield-Hill and Laura Wolvaardt in the opening over.
She added the scalp of Nigar Sultana to her collection soon after, reducing the Barmy Army to 24 for three, with less than five overs gone.
Deandra Dottin, who scored 42 from 29 balls, and Fatima Sana, who hit an unbeaten 45 were able to get their side to a competitive total, but Hong Kong’s Mariko Hill took three wickets of her own in the important middle overs and the Barmy Army were held to 158 for eight.
