Most of the focus in the aftermath of Jose Mourinho’s departure from Manchester United is on who will replace him but where will the Portuguese end up next?

The bookmakers have “Any Chinese Super League club“ as the fourth likeliest destination for the newly unemployed manager.

This is priced at $5.5 behind favourite Real Madrid, Inter Milan and the Portugal national side (all $3.5).

There is clearly interest from China.

Rumours linking Mourinho with a move to the Chinese Super League have been around since at least 2016.

He also announced he had turned down a lucrative offer to go to China in a 2017 interview, where he said he understood why many players have moved to the CSL.
