Liverpool fans name supporter who pushed elderly Asian into Barcelona fountain as new video emerges
- New video appears to show the same supporter pouring jugs of water and juice over a restaurant diner’s head
- Asian man was also called ‘Mr Miyagi’ by another Liverpool fan in Barcelona

Liverpool fans have named and shamed a fellow supporter who was filmed pushing an elderly Asian man into a fountain in Barcelona, while a new video appears to show him pouring jugs of water and orange juice over a restaurant diner’s head.
The original video, which went viral online, shows the Asian man looking distressed as he climbs out of the water at Placa Reial, a famous tourism spot in the city.
Hundreds of travelling fans congregated at the square on Tuesday, where they drank beer, hung club banners and sang songs while they enjoyed the sunshine ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona.
A group of fans can be seen mocking the Asian man, who checks to see if his phone is broken, with one of them calling him “Mr Miyagi-san”.
Local daily newspaper the Liverpool Echo named the perpetrator as Martin Mullen, who goes back to taunt the elderly man. Mullen is a long-standing fan of the club who regularly attends away fixtures, the Echo said.
Mullen is also recorded in a second video at the same location rugby tackling another man – a street vendor selling beers – into the fountain.
