Manchester City club captain Vincent Kompany has announced that he will leave the Premier League champions after helping the club to secure a domestic treble with the FA Cup win over Watford on Saturday.

The Veteran centre-back, who won four Premier League championships, two FA Cups and four League Cups during 11 years at Etihad Stadium, scored 20 goals in 360 games with his most recent one coming in the crucial 1-0 over Leicester City in the title run-in.

The news confirms reports that had emanated form the club in recent weeks that the 33-year-old, who has been badly hampered by injury in recent seasons, would seek pastures new at the end of this campaign.
