Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the internet buzzing when he said on social media he was returning to play in Spain, hinting his American adventure with LA Galaxy is about to end.

The 38-year-old forward told his 39 million Instagram followers that he’s “coming back” to Spain eight years after leaving Barcelona. It appears the former Manchester United star has his mind set on returning to Europe – or more specifically Spain, where he spent two seasons with Barca from 2009 to 2011.

The Swede uploaded a very short video clip of himself, suggesting he will not extend his contract with Galaxy, which runs until the end of the calendar year.

“Hola Espana, guess what? I’m coming back,” were the words he uttered in his Instagram post on Tuesday.

The former Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain standout offered no further hints where he’s headed or which La Liga club he will sign for – if he was signing for a top Spanish club.
