Goals from Wang Shenchao and Oscar guided Shanghai SIPG to a comeback win over Beijing Guoan as the top two in the Chinese Super League’s Suzhou group met on Saturday night.
The 2-1 win was watched by supporters of both teams inside the stadium, the first time this year that fans have been allowed to attend.
Beijing Guoan took the lead in the 14th minute through striker Cedric Bakambu before Wang levelled the scores just before the half-hour mark.
Oscar, who assisted Wang’s equaliser, then scored the winner from a Marko Arnautovic back-heel in the 76th minute.


The win leaves the 2018 champions as the only undefeated team in either CSL group while Guoan stay second on the standings.
The players applauded the fans after the game, in what is rumoured to be a test for allowing more fans to return in the future.


Elsewhere, CSL newcomers Qingdao Huanghai got their first top-flight win, beating Tianjin Teda 2-0.
The first half goals came from Zhu Jianrong and Zhou Junchen to inflict the Tianjin side’s fifth loss in six games. With only one point they are bottom of the group.
