Once again it will be all eyes on those players that the game classifies as forwards to offer the biggest goal threat – even if each of their goals is worth less than those listed as midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers.
Another adage, that you get what you pay for, is often trotted out by pundits when it comes to goalscorers and that is as true in fantasy football as it is in the real-life English Premier League.
But that is not to say there are not bargains to be had either to pad out your bench or to make sure your money goes further.
