Rafa Benitez’s Dalian Pro side extended their unbeaten run to four Chinese Super League games on Monday, although they were disappointed not to rack up another win.

Their game against Jiangsu Suning in the Dalian group of this coronavirus-impacted season ended in a 1-1 draw, thanks to the Nanjing side’s Miranda netting a late equaliser.

The Brazilian headed home in the 81st minute to level Salomon Rondon’s emphatic solo goal in the 23rd minute, his seventh of the season.

A win would have taken Benitez’s team into the top four of the group A table ahead of Shenzhen and Shanghai Shenhua, but the result leaves them sixth. Dalian’s next game is against Shanghai Shenhua on Monday.

Dalian struggled in the early part of the season and a top four finish would be considered a success.
