“Pay attention, everyone!” said Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min in a video posted to Twitter on January 15.
The South Korean forward was speaking in his native tongue to launch the English Premier League side’s official Korean-language account.
The new account’s first tweet also came with a promise of “something special on launch day”.

It came on Monday and fans were treated to five Twitter-only emojis, with Son’s face being rendered digitally.
Son’s face will be automatically applied to tweets using the hashtags #손흥민, #Sonny, #HeungMinSon, #NiceOneSonny, and #토트넘 from January 18 to April 18.

He becomes the second English Premier League player to have their own Twitter emoji after Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, who got his in January 2017.
