Spurs star Son Heung-min named South Korean brand ambassador for Calvin Klein Underwear

It seems that luxury brands can’t seem to keep their hands off Son Heung-min.

The Tottenham Hotspur superstar announced his latest-money spinning endorsement on Monday, signing up as the South Korean ambassador for Calvin Klein Underwear.

The South Korea national team captain, who finished as joint-top scorer in the English Premier League last season with Spurs, gave fans a glimpse of his modelling chops in a couple of pictures posted to the iconic brand’s official Instagram account.

“As a long-time fan of Calvin Klein Underwear, I’m very excited to be with them as a brand ambassador in Korea,” Son said in a press release.

“Calvin Klein Underwear has been with me in my daily life, so I think my partnership with the brand is very natural.

“Like many people around the world, I have been inspired by the brand’s iconic campaigns, so I’m really looking forward to being the face of this one.”

It’s certainly been a successful few days for the 30-year-old forward, who returned to the pitch with a goal and an assist in Tottenham’s opening game of the new Premier League season – a thumping 4-1 home win over Southampton.

The victory put Spurs top of the league after the first round of fixtures, and Son was thrilled to be back in action.

“Missed you guys. Good to be back,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram account after the victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Son’s endorsement with Calvin Klein is the latest in a lucrative line of high-end sponsorship deals he has signed.

He was unveiled as the South Korean ambassador for British fashion brand Burberry this summer, and was also involved in his main football sponsor Adidas’ collaboration with Prada earlier in 2022.

“Being an athlete from the Premier League, it’s my honour to partner with a brand so rich in British heritage,” Son said of the Burberry deal. “I love Burberry’s strive for imagination and innovation which has been deeply inherited in its history, which are values that I champion.”

Son also has a long working relationship with Swedish carmaker Volvo, and confirmed last month he had partnered again with video game developers EA Sports for the latest instalment of their flagship football franchise, FIFA 23.
