Hong Kong Premier League: Yumemi Kanda continues perfect start as Rangers secure 4-1 victory over RCFC
- Japanese midfielder scores two goals on Saturday after a double on his Hong Kong debut against Kitchee in the Sapling Cup
- Rangers coach hails the 28-year-old as an important signing, and expects to see even more from his new charge

Yumemi Kanda continued his dream like start in the city as the Japanese midfielder helped BC Rangers secure a 4-1 victory over Resources Capital in the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League on Sunday.
On a chilly afternoon at Hammer Hill Sports Ground, Kanda, who joined from J3 League side YSCC Yokohama this month, struck twice in front of the small crowd of 400 fans.
As Rangers piled on the pressure during the early stages, 28-year-old Kanda found himself opening the scoring after just eight minutes when Resources Capital goalkeeper Lam Chun-kit’s clearance hit his body, with the rebound going into the net.
But his effort was later cancelled out by forward Felipe de Sa, who scored a brilliant curling effort from the right with the first half ending all square.
Rangers went into the lead again just two minutes after the break, through second-half substitute Lau Chi-lok, before Kanda added to their tally from the penalty spot on 80 minutes, ending any hope Resources Capital had of getting a result.
Lo Kwan-yi added the icing on the cake with a late goal that gave Rangers a deserved victory.
