Hong Kong hungry to break goal drought against visitors Thailand in international football friendly

Fans will be eager to see if Hong Kong can break their goal drought when they take on Thailand in an international friendly with the help of home advantage in So Kon Po on Monday.

The city’s men’s representative team were held to a goalless draw against Myanmar the last time they played at Hong Kong Stadium in September – and they have still not scored since.

But Jorn Andersen is confident his side will break their barren run soon with their new pressing style of play.

“For me it’s important we are creating chances,” Andersen said ahead of the match. “Of course we cannot make goals for every chance but sooner or later I know this will be changed and then we can win the game.”
