It’s match day 10 in the Premier League and Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the season is over.
And to make matters even crazier, their first defeat of the campaign came in the most one-sided fixture in the competition’s history.
There was also cricket, rugby and Chinese tennis star Zheng Qinwen losing to a familiar foe in a bumper Saturday of sporting action.
So without further ado, a look at the main headlines from while you were sleeping.
City shocker

Matches between Bournemouth and Manchester City are generally the easiest to predict with the latter having won each of their previous 14 meetings coming into Saturday’s clash.
Furthermore, City were looking to extend a 32-match unbeaten run in the Premier League. But Arsenal fans can smile – though they also have plenty to cry about (more on them later) – as their record 49-game stretch without defeat lives on after City were beaten 2-1.
Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson scored for the hosts with Josko Gvardiol’s late consolation setting up a nervy finish.
It’s City’s second defeat of the week following their Carabao Cup exit to Tottenham, which would normally beg the question as to whether the wheels are coming off.
But this is a standard blip which inevitably ends with City going unbeaten from March and storming to the title.
For Bournemouth, they’ve now secured wins over both of last season’s top two.
Liverpool up, Arsenal down

The big winners of the weekend in terms of the title race were Liverpool as Arsenal kicked off the weekend’s action with a loss at Newcastle.
For those who had an early night, you might have missed Alexander Isak stunning header which gave Newcastle a 1-0 victory over last season’s runners-up.
Later in the day, Liverpool came from a goal down to earn a second victory over Brighton in four days as goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah secured a 2-1 win which leaves Arne Slot’s side top, two points clear of the champions.
Arsenal are down in fourth and seven points behind the leaders – with Nottingham Forest now in third.
Yes, you read that right. A 3-0 victory over West Ham earned Nuno Espirito Santo and his merry men a fifth win in 10 matches this season.
Elsewhere, Southampton earned a first win of the campaign as Adam Armstrong’s goal saw off Everton, while the wait goes on for Wolves as they shared a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.
For the second time in three matches, Jordan Ayew rescued Leicester in stoppage time, this time denying Ipswich their first win of the season to draw 1-1.
Continental round up
Borussia Dortmund secured a morale-boosting win in the “Jurgen Klopp clasico” as they beat RB Leipzig 2-1.
Sitting on either side of football’s “tradition” spectrum, the two have formed quite the rivalry, and it was made even more intense when Leipzig’s parent company Red Bull announced Dortmund hero Klopp as their new head of Global Soccer.
In Italy, Juventus won 2-0 at Udinese to move to within four points of leaders Napoli, having played a game more.
There was also a 1-0 win for Milan at Monza to earn under-fire manager Paulo Fonseca some breathing space.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain beat Lens, of course, to move six points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
There was also a thriller in the Netherlands as Ajax came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 and end PSV Eindhoven’s perfect start to the campaign.
Zheng’s bête noire

Aryna Sabalenka’s latest victory over China’s Zheng Qinwen came in straight sets at the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
The world No 1 has won all five encounters with the 22-year-old, with four coming this year alone, including in the Australian Open final.
The Belarusian has earned the nickname among Chinese fans as “the mountain Zheng is yet to overcome”.
Sabalenka earned a break to lead 4-2 in an evenly matched first set, which she served out at 6-3.
Zheng stayed in the second until 4-4 before suffering a break and subsequently losing 6-4.
World No 7 Zheng had her right thigh taped during the match but said afterwards she was “not that concerned”.
There was also a comical moment at the end of the match when Sabalenka was forced to wait alone at the net for several seconds before Zheng realised she had actually lost.
Centurions day
Captain Liam Livingstone cracked a maiden one-day international hundred to lead England to a five-wicket victory against the West Indies.
Livingstone’s blistering innings outshone a century earlier in the day scored by opposition skipper Shai Hope.
Chasing 329 to win, the England captain made his hundred off 77 balls with four fours and six sixes.
He ended the innings undefeated on 124 having added another boundary and three more sixes to his total as England claimed victory with 15 balls to spare.
“At the end of the summer I felt I was getting back to my best, maturing a little and knowing my game,” said Livingstone who was captaining the team in place of the injured Jos Buttler.
“I’m enjoying my cricket and if I’m enjoying my cricket, I usually play well.”
All Blacks’ dramatic win

England’s George Ford missed two last-gasp shots at goal and New Zealand held on to win a dramatic but scrappy autumn rugby series opener 24-22 at Twickenham.
A brilliant solo try by wing Mark Tele’a, converted from the sideline by Damian McKenzie, saw New Zealand regain a two-point lead with three minutes to go.
But then Anton Lienert-Brown was sin-binned for a head-on-head tackle and Ford lined up an angled penalty kick from 40 metres with two to go. It rebounded off the right post.
The hosts got a scrum in the 22, though, with the sell-out crowd of 82,000 baying England on, but New Zealand spoiled the scrum, and a rushed drop goal attempt by Ford after the 80-minute mark flew well wide.
The All Blacks completed a hat trick of wins against England this year, the margins by a combined 10 points.
England were denied a first home win over the All Blacks since 2012 despite perfect kicking off the tee by Marcus Smith, who went six for six for 17 points.
