Asian Tour: Hong Kong’s Taichi Kho chasing top-10 finish, as Smyth eyes breakthrough win at International Series England
- Australian Travis Smyth takes one-shot lead going into Sunday’s final round after 5-under-par 66 puts him at 8-under for the tournament
- Kho’s level-par 71 keeps him 3-under overall and in a 3-way tie for 13th ahead of last day at Slaley Hall

Travis Smyth is confident he can win his first Asian Tour event on Sunday, as he takes a one-shot lead into the final round of the International Series England tournament.
The Australian fired off a superb five-under-par 66 on Saturday to leave himself on eight-overall, just ahead of Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana, Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent and Korean Joohyung Kim.
There is more than just the US$270,000 prize money up for grabs for Smyth, victory would also secure him a spot in next week’s inaugural US$25 million LIV Golf Invitational Series tournament at Centurion Club.
“I definitely think I can win,” Smyth said. “I don’t know how I’m going to do it – but it’s going to be exciting. This is the best chance that I’ve had on the Asian Tour to win, so I cannot wait to get out there.
“Today, I knew I was up there early on because I started pretty well. I’m hoping tomorrow I feel like I did today.”
While Smyth chases a maiden tour win, Taichi Kho has a chance to finish in the top 10 after his level-par 71 in the third round kept him at three-under and in a three-way tie for 13th.
The Hong Kong amateur will begin his final round at 4.57pm Hong Kong Time, alongside Jarin Todd and Jaco Ahlers, who are also at three-under.
