Taichi Kho will resume his second round of the Mandiri Indonesia Open on Saturday morning just two shots off leader Itthipat Buranatanyarat, after another impressive performance in the Asian Tour event.

The Hong Kong amateur, who is three-under-par through 14 holes and 11-under overall, lies in a three-way tie for third at Pondok Indah Golf Course, alongside Berry Henson and Minkyu Kim.

Taiwan’s Chang Wei-lun sits alone in second at 12-under, although like Kho he still has to complete his second round.

Itthipat finished his day at 13-under, having added a five-under 67 to his opening round of 64, and has played the first 36 holes of the tournament without a single bogey.

Kho produced another largely blemish-free display, although he did card his first bogey of the tournament at the par-3 fifth which negated the one he picked up a hole earlier and dropped him back to one-under after he opened with a birdie.

Birdies at 11 and 14 closed the gap on Itthipat, before bad light forced the round to be abandoned for the day with 24 golfers still on the course.
