Former major champion Jason Dufner is among 73 players scheduled to compete in the LIV Golf Promotions tournament that will be held in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10.

Dufner, who won the 2013 PGA Championship, has fallen to 543rd in the Official World Golf Ranking. The 46-year-old has not posted a top 10 worldwide since 2019 and has missed nine of 26 cuts this year.

However, he is still one of the most recognisable names in the field announced by LIV on Thursday.

Also among the crowd, Taichi Kho will represent Hong Kong at next week’s tournament.

“It is a life-changing opportunity there to be able to play among the best golfers in the world for a full season,” Kho said. “Overall, it’s super exciting, and I am really looking forward to playing in it.”
