At their first pre-season training session at Shek Kip Mei Park yesterday, the team welcomed seasoned campaigners Liang Zicheng, Au Yeung Yiu-chung and Li Hang-wui among eight new faces. "We need experienced players to maintain consistency," coach Lee Chi-kin said. "And we believe these new faces are the right men for the job."
Winger Liang, 31, has been with top clubs such as South China and Kitchee, Lee, 28, can play either central defence or left back and was also at Kitchee, while former South China player Au Yeung has played in the top flight for seven seasons despite being just 24.

"We have also signed a South Korean centre half from our parent club in Japan while we are still talking to a Japanese midfielder and are close to negotiating a deal," said the coach. "We have set aside a budget HK$8 million with a top-four position in the league our target.
