With the cricket team vying for glory at the ICC World Twenty20 in Chittagong, the Hong Kong men's hockey team are on another mission in Bangladesh - trying to qualify for the Asian Games at Incheon in South Korea in September.
Arif Ali will lead an untested squad with nearly one-third of them making their international debuts as Hong Kong aim to win one of six Asian Games berths at the tournament in Dhaka, which ends on March 23.
The task is easier with Afghanistan and Thailand pulling out at the last minute, reducing the tournament, which starts on Saturday, to eight countries.
The rejigged draw will see Hong Kong take on hosts Bangladesh, Singapore and Iran in the group stage. The other group comprises Oman, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Qatar.
"Bangladesh are the clear favourites in this group. They have always done well playing at home," said Sarinder Dillon, the president of the Hong Kong Hockey Association.
"Hong Kong will need to beat both Singapore and Iran to qualify for the Asian Games to be played in Incheon."
