Hong Kong's Adderly Fong revved up for first Formula One test run
Reigning Audi R8 LMS Cup champion will head to Valencia for full track session in a Sauber

Adderly Fong Cheun-yue is set to make history next week in Valencia, Spain, when he becomes the first Hong Kong racer to test drive a Formula One car.
The 24-year-old Canadian-born driver will get behind the wheel of a Sauber C31 for the biggest drive of his life, a test that could determine his future and move him a step closer to his dream of racing in Formula One.
Being the first driver from Hong Kong to have this opportunity, I feel very proud
"I'm anxious and excited," said Fong, who is also trying to raise funds to become a reserve F1 driver with Marussia. "Being the first driver from Hong Kong to have this opportunity, I feel very proud. I hope I can make an impact. I am grateful to Sauber for giving me this opportunity.
"My GP3 team [Jenzer Motorsport] has good connections with some of the Formula One teams and the opportunity arose. I feel nervous because I have never driven in a performance car of this level. Nothing will come close.
"I have always been passionate about cars and racing," said Fong, who will become the second Chinese driver to handle a Formula One car after China's Ma Qinghua completed one practice session for Caterham at last year's Chinese Grand Prix.

Fong will have a familiarisation session with the car on Tuesday and then a driver-coach will help him with the car's dynamics as he prepares for his big moment.
