What a difference a week makes. Just last week, Hong Kong international Chan Man-fai was booed by fans for a miss from one metre out when playing against Singapore at Mong Kok Stadium. At the same venue on Saturday, the 26-year-old was the toast of his team as he led Sun Pegasus to a 5-1 victory over BC Rangers.

Voted man of the match, Chan scored twice before a crowd of 1,000 in the BOCG Premier League match and made one assist, giving Pegasus four wins from four outings to lead the standings.

"The players were still talking about my miss against Singapore before the match," said Chan. "But there was no hard feelings as I know they were just making fun with me. As a player, I have been through many ups and downs and am not easily affected by just one mistake.

"But I did tell myself to do something today to make up and I am very happy. This is the first time I have scored this season."

In Tseung Kwan O, Eastern were held to a 1-1 draw by YFCMD. Kenji Fukuda scored in the fifth minute but his effort was cancelled out by Eastern striker Giovane da Silva early in the second half.

"We have created more than 15 chances, but the ball just did not go into the net," said Eastern coach Cristiano Cordeiro. "It did not worry me too much as our performance was not too bad."
