Sun Pegasus' winning streak comes to an abrupt end

Sun Pegasus' five-match win streak came to an abrupt end on Saturday night as Eastern toppled the table leaders in the BOCG Life Hong Kong Premier League.
The highly anticipated clash did not go to plan for the hosts Pegasus, who suffered their first loss of the season at Mong Kok Stadium, which even shocked Eastern coach Cristiano Cordeiro.
"We have to congratulate the guys because they fought perfectly till the end," said Cordeiro.
Our players gave everything, both physically and emotionally, especially after our last match when people said we were not a good team
"We never expected a 3-0 scoreline, but even so it was a very tight game, just like their previous match with South China.
"Our players gave everything, both physically and emotionally, especially after our last match [a 1-1 draw with YFCMD] when people said we were not a good team, but it was just unlucky."
Eastern took the lead early when Michel Antunes Lugo's pass connected with Giovane Alves da Silva who scored a short-range shot in the 33rd minute. And four minutes later, Da Silva clinically executed a penalty shot for 2-0.
Pegasus struggled to crack Eastern's solid defence, despite striker Jaimes McKee being brought on just before the break to bolster Pegasus' attack.
